Chair

In an era that the market is flooded with products, we need to take responsibility for the products we design.

Think about the life cycle of the product, how it is manufactured, how it is being shipped and how it ends its life.

Out of all these, I started designing the chair.

I chose to manufacture the chair with CNC technology. The chair is actually made of two-dimensional parts and becomes three-dimensional upon it’s simple assembly.

Thanks to the chair’s two-dimensional parts, the transport can be in a  flat, light and economical packing.

The chair has cold joints that lock all the parts and give it stability.

The joints do not require glue or tools, for an easy and independent assembly.

At the end of the chair's life, the raw material can be easily disassembled and reused.

The chair is made of Oak sandwich plate, coated by royal blue formica.
